Tatarstan plans to film an animated series based on the work of the republic's national writer Zulfat Khakim "Tugan Batyr" ("Native hero"). RBC writes about this.
According to Irina Grebennikova, CEO of the “Terra Anima” animation studio, each episode will be about six to seven minutes long. The first season will include 52 episodes. If the series is successful, it may be extended for a second and third season and a full-length film about the character may be filmed. The creators plan to release one or two episodes per month, that is, 12 or 24 episodes per year, depending on the required pace.
The animated series will be made in 3D technology, and they promise that its quality will be close to full-length films. The teaser of the project is planned to be shown at the international economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum", which will take place from May 18 to 20. The second part of the book "Tugan Batyr" will also be presented there, which has been translated into five languages: Russian, English, Turkish, Arabic and Kazakh.
Tugan Batyr is a collective image of the national Tatar hero, who has combined legends, myths and tales of the people. According to the creators of the series, he should become a domestic superhero.
