We are proud to announce the premiere of the play "Tugan Batyr," which will take place on July 3rd and 4th at the Great Hall of the Galiasgar Kamal Theater. The production was directed by Aidar Zabbarov based on the dramatic play by Ruzal Mukhametshin, with Elmir Nizamov as composer and Philipp Shein as production designer.

"Tugan Batyr" is a unique family play that blends traditional myths and modern imagery. The story centers on Kazan, where the spirits of Nizhny Kazan, heroic legends, and ancient myths emerge against a backdrop of construction sites, hockey, and gadgets. The central theme is lost memory, which the characters must rediscover.

The main character is Dzhavdat, a Kazan teenager and goalie for a junior hockey team, immersed in a world of technology and the challenges of modern fatherhood.

Accidentally finding himself in the basement of his grandmother's house, he finds himself in Nizhnyaya Kazan—an underground kingdom of fairytale creatures and forgotten legends.

There he meets his distant ancestor, Tugan Batyr, and becomes part of a historic struggle to preserve ancient traditions.

Accompanied by his faithful companion Gulchachak and the stern Div, he sets off to Upper Kazan to find the magical ring Zilant, stop the evil spirit Karakot, and save the city from extinction. While the heroes overcome trials, Karakot—the evil that has escaped from Lower Kazan—gains strength.

This captivating show—an intriguing blend of mythology and modernity—will captivate both adults and children.
